Douglas Goodhart

is the fourth generation of the Goodhart family to own and operate this business. He studied Pedorthics at Northwestern University in Chicago and in Germany. He is the founder of the Euro-Pedorthic Association of America (EPAA). He has discovered the secret of plantar fasciitis resolution – among other secrets.

Doug was also associate professor of music at San Diego State University and is a professional musician specializing in musical traditions throughout the world (See bio at www.Zoukfest.com). He has worked as a professional chef at Hotel de Paris et de la Poste in Sens, France (www.hotel-paris-poste.com). His other interests are oil painting, Tibetan yoga and longbow archery.

Laurence Goodhart

was born and raised in Burgundy, France. After studying law in France and Germany she became Regional Director of Personnel for La Saur, the third largest water company in France. She has lived in the United States since 1996, where she apprenticed at the store with Douglas. She is responsible for the wonderful, one-of-a-kind shoe styles at the Taos store. Laurence is also a jewelry and textile artist.
